Claire Babington 

 cello and baroque cello

Claire studied cello at the RNCM in Manchester (BMus, PGdip, MusM), with Leonid Gorokhov and Kim Dinitzen, and studying baroque cello with Richard Boothby and David Watkin. She also later gained an MMus at Manchester University, researching the the sources and inspiration behind modern day continuo cellist's performance practices. She had performed across the UK with the Halle, Liverpool Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata and is a keen advocate and performer of new music. Her recording of The Seventh Door by Panos Demopolous is soon to be re released on the Metier label and she recently gave the UK premier of Unidentified Edges and Into the World of Light for Soprano and cello by Geoffrey Palmer. She has also made the debut recording of Dance Curves for piano trio by James Redlinghueys. As a baroque cellist Claire is a Visiting Professor in Performance at Aberdeen University and a founding member of early music Ensemble AB24, Baroque in the North and is part of the continuo team that makes up the Aberdeen Early Music Collective. The Collective's recent recording of Ruggieri Sonatas and Cantatas is already gathering glowing reviews. Claire is also a regular performer of Bach's solo cello suites.

Prices and conditions:
The first 20 minutes online lesson:  
20 GBP

This lesson is a first meeting and introduction  of  the teacher and the student alike.

5 hour online lesson (60 minutes each) : 180 GBP

10 hour online lesson (60 minutes each): 360 GBP

Payment:

We will send you all the payment information upon we received your registration, and our teacher accepted you as a student.

The possible methods of payment are: Paypal, Credit and Debit Card, Bank Transfer.

Online Lesson and Masterclass Policy: 

Lesson Cancellation and Refund:

There is no refund on unused or cancelled lessons, but it is possible to rearrange the lesson time. If you need to cancel your lesson, let us know at least 24 hours prior. Then we can re-arrange it to a later suitable time. If you don’t cancel the lesson within 24 hours, then the payment is non-refundable.

 

Age restriction:

If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must give a signed grant permission for the lessons  (documents will be sent by email), and your parent/guardian must be there with you on the 1st lesson.
